Flybe franchise partner Eastern Airways will add significant additional capacity to its Southampton-Leeds Bradford route in September.
As of 9 September, the carrier will increase services Monday to Thursday to three-times daily with the introduction of a 1.10pm service from Leeds Bradford and a 3pm service from Southampton.
The new flights increase capacity on the route by a third with up to 15 flights a week now available in each direction.
Eastern, which has bene operating the route for 13 years, says they will complement its existing 8.40am and 7pm flights to Leeds Bradford and 6.50am and 5.10pm southbound departures to Southampton.
Fares lead in from £79 one way and are on sale now.
Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ general manager commercial and operations, said the expansion offered passengers greater choice and flexibility, adding the move would expand Flybe connectivity, via Southampton, to Jersey, Guernsey and European connections.
