EasyJet will extend its twice-weekly Bristol-Lyon winter service into the summer.
New flights will begin on 1 July, operating on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The service will continue throughout July, August and September, providing more than 10,000 additional seats across 54 flights.
It comes after easyJet earlier this month confirmed it would launch three new routes from Bristol this summer and base another aircraft – its 17th – at the south-west airport.
The new routes are Milan Malpensa and Brindisi in Italy, and Biarritz in France.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We are delighted to announce the extension of easyJet’s service between Bristol and Lyon to the summer months.
“This is a route which is expected to be especially popular amongst those looking to enjoy great food in a stunning city backdrop this summer.”
Nigel Scott, Bristol airport business development director, added the airport would continue to work with easyJet and look at “other route opportunities for further route development in the future”.
