The success of Celebrity Edge has had a “halo effect” on the rest of the line, Celebrity’s UK, Ireland and Asia managing director has said.
Speaking to TTG at the third reveal event for Edge, Jo Rzymowska said the ship had “really cut through” with agents and consumers, promoting a “modern luxury” message.
She said Edge was selling well across all markets, adding: “Our travel partners have played a huge part in promoting Edge, and Celebrity generally. It’s about them feeling confident that we deliver what we say we’ll deliver.”
Rzymowska added the company was “definitely seeing a lot more interest from new-to-cruise customers”.
Asked whether Edge would ever be based in the UK, she said: “I’m always pushing for ex-UK, but beyond December 2019 decisions have not yet been made on that.”
