Etihad has revised its checked baggage policy, allowing passengers of all fare categories to put more than one item in the hold but cutting the total weight limit for some.
The airline’s new global policy – except for flights to and from the US and Canada - is now based on the total weight of checked baggage, rather than the number of pieces.
The cheapest basic Economy Deal fare allows 23kg of hold baggage, while Economy Saver and Classic fares offer 30kg. The Economy Flex class permits 35kg. Business Class passengers may take 40kg and First Class 50kg. Passengers in the exclusive Residence private cabin are allowed four pieces at 32kg each.
Etihad Guest frequent flier members get additional benefits.
