Strikes by Eurostar workers scheduled for the August bank holiday have been suspended.
The train operator made fresh proposals to address unsocial working hours on the service.
Despite the move, a small number of trains were cancelled between August 12-15, when the first round of strikes was due to take place.
Two trains have been cancelled today (Monday), Reuters reports. The 7.55am train from London to Paris and the 8.43am service from Paris to London did not run.
Labour union RMT said it had called off the strike action by train managers to hold further discussions on Eurostar’s new proposals.
"Talks will begin shortly and we hope this can be the basis of a satisfactory resolution to this dispute," said general secretary Mick Cash.
"Following talks this morning, we have reached an agreement in principle that we believe will secure a better work-life balance for our members and we are now suspending the industrial action with immediate effect," said Manuel Cortes, the TSSA union’s general secretary.
RMT members are involved in ongoing disputes on other rail lines in England.
