Finnair has announced an increase in capacity between the UK and Ireland to Helsinki for summer 2017, following “high demand”.
Five weekly flights will now operate out of Edinburgh on a 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft, after the airline first launched the route in April 2016.
Finnair will also increase its capacity to Dublin, with up to nine weekly flights between Helsinki and the Irish capital from March 27 – three more flights a week compared with the winter schedule.
The carrier also recently announced plans to operate a fifth service between London Heathrow and Helsinki from October 5 2016.
Meanwhile Finnair has additionally announced four new short haul routes to its summer 2017 schedule.
Between April 11 and October 28, the airline will fly four weekly flights to Reykjavik, Iceland; weekly to Corfu, Greece; and Menorca, Spain on Sundays.
