Canada specialist First Class Holidays has restructured its sales team ahead of the arrival of a new northern head of sales, due to join the business next month.
Katie Daniels has been promoted to head of sales south, with Paula Martin taking over key accounts. Emma Clark, meanwhile, steps into a newly-created business development manager role.
“We are so pleased with the new arrival, who has a wealth of experience. The structure of the team now is right,” said First Class Holidays chief executive Dan Gathercole.
“Katie, Paula and Emma will all take on more responsibility in the new structure, and with our new recruit arriving soon, we have a strong and passionate team to look after our agents.
“We will also look to add more staff soon to further support our growth and are investing heavily in concierge and customer service.”
The move comes after TTG last week revealed national sales manager Jonathan Whiteley was leaving the business after more than 20 years.
He has been appointed long-haul sales manager at rival Canada specialist Prestige Holidays.
First Class Holidays has stepped up its recruitment drive in recent weeks, seeking a sales manager, two concierge roles, an Africa specialist and a data assistant.
The company posted full-year sales for 2018 up 11%, and is reporting “early growth” in 2019.
“It’s an exciting time,” said Gathercole.
“We have always been known for Canada and our recent Number One campaign shows we want to grow our Canada business, but the biggest growth has come from telling people we do America, Australia and New Zealand with the same service levels, passion and knowledge.”
