First Lady of Iceland Eliza Reid will address the first International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum in Reykjavik next year.
Reid will share her experience of, and views on, gender equality in Iceland with delegates at the event on 23-24 January.
In her keynote address, Reid will also explore the unique challenges faced by women in tourism, the importance of recognising women’s contributions, and how greater gender parity has benefited Iceland.
Registration for the event is open, with speakers curated by Women in Travel CIC in partnership with Promote Iceland, Carnival UK and PEAK DMC.
It will be held at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel in the Icelandic capital.
Confirmed delegates include a mixture of private and public sector travel, hospitality and tourism leaders. Unlike other events, delegates must attend in pairs with an executive-level senior leader pledging to attend with and host a “next-generation” female colleague.
Besides keynotes, there will be a full-day of sessions, including mentoring events; practical tools to take away; and opportunities to network with industry peers motivated by their passion for gender diversity, equality and inclusion.
Attendance is limited to 60 industry leaders and 60 next-generation female professionals.
Registration is via iwttf.com/registration.
