Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has under-gone a “major internal restructure”, resulting in the creation of a new division.
The line has formed a product and customer services division, which will be overseen by Clare Ward as director of product and customer services.
The division will deal with itinerary and experience development, operational planning and tours.
It will also take care of air and land services, port operations, reservations, administration and customer relations.
Fred Olsen said it would “further strengthen” its senior management with the promotion of Jeremy Hatton to head of customer services.
Reporting into Ward, Hatton assumes responsibility for Fred Olsen’s customer-facing shore-based departments.
Neil Herbert will continue in his role as head of sales.
Mike Rodwell, managing director of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, said the changes would enable the line to “continue to put the customer at the heart of everything that we do”.
“With our strong reputation for being closer to our guests, we need to do all that we can to provide the best itineraries and customer experiences possible.
We believe that the creation of this dedicated new product and customer services division will help to shape the future development of our company and will ensure that our guests continue to be our utmost priority,” he said.
The line added that it was currently recruiting for a new sales and marketing director to take overall responsibility for sales, marketing and public relations functions.
