Fred Olsen has restructured its internal trade team as part of the cruise line’s strategy to offer “more comprehensive” support to agents.
As part of the move, Becky Smith is promoted to the role of trade support manager within the renamed trade support team, which was previously known as agency sales.
Fred Olsen has already restructured its major account management team with Julia Thornhill and Marietta Maidman recently becoming new account managers.
Neil Herbert, the line’s head of sales, said: “It became apparent that we needed to underpin this new structure with an internal rethink of how we support that team and the wider trade audience.
“With that in mind, we have created an expanded trade support team to concentrate our efforts on supporting our high street, online, tour operator and international partners.”
The new support team has been expanded to include four staff, including Clair Farthing, Sophie Barrett and Emma Scrivener, who are trade support executives and will be assisted by trade support assistant Salume Van Tankeren.
“We have also committed to offering greater support to our key trade partners by delivering future cruise sales from guests already onboard, by encouraging them to book future cruises with their chosen travel agent,” added Herbert.
