A funeral has been set for much-loved former TTG writer Jonathan Hart.
Jonathan, who was diagnosed with bladder cancer 18 months ago, passed away at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital with his children James and Alice at his bedside earlier this month.
During more than 40 years as a journalist he worked as a Fleet Street news agency reporter and feature writer for the Vancouver Sun. He later became a specialist in leisure and business travel writing and helped run TTG’s European editions during a long and successful freelance career.
His funeral service will take place at 1.20pm on Friday September 29 at Putney Vale Crematorium.
A reception will be held at the Telegraph pub in Telegraph Road, Putney Heath, from 2.30pm.
Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to jimijhart@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Rather than flowers, the family would prefer for donations to be made to The Royal Marsden Hospital. A donation box will be provided on the day.
