The news was announced today during the Global Rocks celebration in Carden Park Hotel near Chester.
Delegates will be based at Palladium’s newest Mexican property, the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa.
This is the first time that Global has chosen Mexico as the location for its annual bash.
Global Travel Group managing director, Andy Stark, said: “We chose the location based on our members’ feedback. We asked our agents where they wanted to go and they said Mexico.
"They wanted to do another long haul conference. We found that a lot of our members added a holiday on to the last one [in Florida].
Speakers, although not yet confirmed, will address the latest trends affecting the travel industry.
“We don’t want to bring someone in that will be a seat filler, we want them to be useful from agents’ and suppliers’ perspective. Once we introduce the conference theme, we will then work backwards and choose the speakers,” Stark asserted.
Commenting on the partnership with the Palladium Hotel Group, he added: “Pallidum have lots of new product and were keen to accommodate us. We got a great deal, and they were very excited about hosting Global."
