Hays Travel will open four new branches before the end of the year as well as launching a homeworker recruitment drive.
The shops will be located in Sunderland city centre, in the Yorkshire towns of Selby and Beverley, and the Cheshire town of Northwich; bringing the company’s total number of branches up to 175.
The latest Sunderland branch will be in the company’s new headquarters in Keel Square, where head office staff are due to move next year.
The news comes just a month after the agency giant opened its first store in Leeds city centre, in Merrion Centre.
More than 20 jobs are being created with the opening of the latest four stores.
They will all have their own local Facebook pages to promote special offers and will drive the company’s new finance scheme, where customers can spread the cost of their holiday in monthly payments, with the final balance due six weeks before departure.
Hays Travel’s head of retail, Paula Barrett, said: “We are thrilled to be able to announce even more shop openings before the turn of the year.
“We are now very well established in the Yorkshire region and these two new branches in the area further our coverage even more.
“We are delighted that our expansion in the north west is also blooming.”
She said Hays Travel had opened a total of 14 new shops this year and “have no plans to stop in 2019”.
Hays Travel is also focussing on its homeworking division, with plans to recruit 200 more homeworkers this financial year.
The company will up its homeworker marketing and make regular training dates available.
The firm currently has 235 homeworkers on board across two packages – Personal Travel Consultant’s build their own business with support from expert head office teams, while Premier Homeworkers are fed unlimited quality leads.
