Mark Walter has been promoted to head of sales, trade UK at Hurtigruten.
Walter, previously national key account manager, takes up the role with immediate effect.
He is tasked with leading the line’s UK sales team and B2B strategy during “the next phase of the company’s history” and will report directly to the UK general manager. Last year Hurtigruten announced the restructuring of its UK and EMEA senior team with the promotion of Anthony Daniels to general manager UK & I and Heiko Jensen to vice-president sales europe.
Walter joined Hurtigruten in 2016 as regional sales manager. He was previously head of sales UK and Ireland at Royal Caribbean International.
Daniels said: "Mark’s entrepreneurial flare and dedication to the job has played a crucial role in delivering results.
"We are confident that Mark will continue to deliver and drive the sales team to new levels for Hurtigruten, especially in the lead up to the launch of our first hybrid ship, the MS Roald Amundsen in a few months."
