Inghams has debuted a new “preview” magazine Summer Moments to announce its summer 2020 programme, complete with exclusive early booking offers and price parity for the trade.
The launch coincides with National Walking Month, with Summer Moments designed to help agents inspire their clients’ next summer holidays.
The magazine features an anniversary section marking the specialist operator’s 85th birthday this year, looking back over how the company’s holidays have evolved over time.
Other topics include a spotlight on health and wellbeing, focusing on the benefits of mountain breaks and showcasing a range of back-to-nature resorts and eco-lodgings; top five guides, including alpine and water-side walks with tips from Cotswold outdoor walking specialists; and a round-up of European gardens.
There are also food and wine recommendations, guides drawing on the Inghams’ team’s experience and expertise, and a range of “once-in-a-lifetime” holiday experiences.
Inghams’ main summer 2020 brochure will follow later this year.
Julie Franklin, Inghams’ head of agency sales, said Summer Moments offered a fresh take on its summer programme highlights, ranging from escorted tours, self-guided multi-centres, resort holidays and city breaks.
“To celebrate our 85th birthday, we have some early booking offers exclusive to this magazine, and we continue to offer 100% price parity for the trade,” said Franklin.
“As usual, we’ll be releasing our main edition brochure this autumn, packed full of resort and accommodation ideas to help agents build their product knowledge.
“Our online training portal, The Academy, is also being constantly updated and is where agents can find further training.”
Inghams’ early booking offers include: savings of £85 per couple and £85pp low deposits on bookings made before 30 September; “considerable” discounts from partner hotels on early bookings, subject to availability; and free high quality walking maps for seven-night holidays departing April 2020 onwards when booked before 30 September.
Sample prices include seven nights’ half-board at the five-star Hotel Elisabeth in Mayrhofen, Austria, from £949pp based on two sharing departing summer 2020; or seven nights catered (all meals, excluding lunch, with six nights’ complimentary wine) at the three-diamond Inghams-run Hotel La Sapiniere in Chamonix, France, from £616pp based on two sharing, also departing summer 2020.
Prices include return flights and airport transfers and factor in an £85 early booking discount.
Inghams’ exclusive seven-night gastronomic escorted group tour of central Italy, meanwhile, takes place in Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria and features visits to cheese and ham factories in Parma, plus tastings; guided tours of Florence and Bologna; and an authentic cooking class focusing on regional specialities.
The tour, max 12 guests, leads in from £1,799pp departing 4 October and includes four-star half-board accommodation, return flights, all tastings and entrance fees, the cooking lesson and the services of a guide.
