A new International Women in Travel Mentoring Programme will be launched following the success of this inaugural forum, which attracted delegates from 18 countries.
Founder Alessandra Alonso made the announcement at the forum’s close, and confirmed next year’s conference will take place in Morocco in February.
Delegates came from a wide range of public and private sector travel organisations, while representatives from airlines such as Icelandair and easyJet and senior leaders from Carnival UK, Tui and Peak DMC attended alongside entrepreneurs.
In addition to panel discussions, next-generation leaders shared their challenges and aspirations with more senior delegates during a “reverse mentoring” session.
