Tui’s Specialist Group looks set to be renamed Travelopia, after a managing director at one of the group’s companies tweeted the new name.
Hans Lagerweij, managing director of the group’s Adventure Travel division tweeted this morning: “Exciting news – welcome Travelopia! A new home for fantastic specialist brands delivering incredible inspiring experiences.”
It comes after Tui Group announced this morning that it intends to sell its portfolio of specialist businesses, including brands such as Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia and Jetsave.

The collection of more than 50 brands will be sold in one transaction, with the exception of Crystal Ski and Thomson Lakes & Mountains, which will be transferred to the UK and Ireland business.
Since the merger of Tui Travel and Tui AG, the Specialist Group has been managed separately by a team led by Will Waggott.
Tui’s decision to dispose of the businesses follows the recent announcement of the planned sale of Hotelbeds for €1.2 billion.
