The ITT has said it has been given reassurances from Israeli officials over safety measures following a fatal shooting in Tel Aviv.
Four people were killed when gunmen attacked shoppers and diners in the Sarona precinct, the BBC reported. Sixteen people were also injured.
The organisation’s conference was being held in the same city but no delegates have been affected.
A spokesperson for the ITT said: “While some delegates returned to the UK today, the majority have remained in Tel Aviv and are enjoying the Farewell Party following a successful ITT Conference.
“We have received reassurances from the Israeli Authorities with regards to security, and are confident that all the necessary safety measures are in place to ensure the wellbeing of all our delegates and indeed all future travellers to Israel.”
The prime minister David Cameron, said: “I am sickened by the appalling attack in Tel Aviv. We stand with Israel against terrorism and my thoughts are with the victims and families.”
Following the incident the Foreign Office updated its advice, telling those in the city to follow the instructions of the security authorities.
