Jet Airways has cancelled a further round of international flights as its financial woes continue.
The privately-owned airline originally cut the entire programme outside of India on Thursday (11 April) and Friday (12 April) as it seeks to secure new funding.
The cancellation impacted the airline’s routes departing Heathrow to Delhi and Mumbai.
Now, in a sign that problems persist at the airline, it has announced all international operations will again be cancelled for the period of 12-15 April.
However, bookings are not being taken now until flights from 19 April with a spokeswoman claiming this was to help rebook travellers on the affected flights.
She added international flights are expected to resume on 16 April, although she admitted a further update will be made early next week.
She said: “In parallel, the airline’s management and its key stakeholders including its consortium of lenders, continue to work closely towards resolving the current situation.
“The airline regrets the inconvenience caused to its guests.”
The flights cuts come after the airline last month announced it would end its Manchester programme at the end of April.
