Jet2holidays has suspended all package holidays to Crete and Zante until later this month.
Bookings have been paused until 20 September after the UK government revealed plans on Monday (7 September) to implement quarantine measures on those arriving from seven Greek islands.
The rules will come into effect for those who have travelled back from Lesvos, Tinos, Serifos, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete and Zante from 4am Wednesday (9 September).
In a message posted on Twitter, Jet2 said customers currently in destination “can continue to enjoy their holidays and we will be in touch should there be any changes to their return flights to the UK.”

“If you have a package holiday that is affected by any programme changes, we will be in touch to discuss your options as soon as we can.
“If you have a flight-only booking, you can still travel on your booking. However, if you no longer wish to travel before 20 September you can amend with no admin fee. We will advise for the next steps for this in due course.
“We would like to thank customers for their continued patience and understanding.”
