Overall, the Travel Trade Crusade has raised £42,000 raised so far - dwarfing the target of £30,000.
It shows just how popular the event is – not just with the competitors but also those who back it financially, either through corporate or personal sponsorship. In total, the Travel Trade Crusade has raised £112,000 following outings in 2013 and 2014.
Organiser Sarah Archer added: “It was a fantastic event on so many levels. The money raised for charity is great and there is still time for people to donate more. “Equally importantly, everyone who took part is still talking about it and I am confident they will continue doing so for some time yet. They will be smiling for even longer, though.”
