TTG’s Coronavirus Business Support Forum features a panel of travel experts who will be able to answer agents’ questions on a range of topics, from HR and finance to regulation and law.
The forum, which can be found on TTG’s Coronavirus Business Support Service homepage, will also be moderated by TTG Media’s in-house editorial team, who boast a combined industry experience of more than 100 years. Travel agents will also be able to answer questions from their industry colleagues on the forum themselves.
Meet the panel of travel experts below:
Martin and his team help people working in the travel industry find solutions to complex regulatory and financial problems, including issues with Atol, Abta and Iata regulations.
Farina is a travel law expert specialising in regulatory advice and commercial contracts for the travel industry and leads Kemp Little’s travel practice. With more than 10 years’ experience, Farina has extensive expertise of the legal issues affecting the travel industry, and has clients ranging from tour operators and online travel agents to hotels, airlines and travel consortia.
Alan qualified as a solicitor more than 20 years ago and has unrilvalled knowledge of the travel industry. As well as eight years as head of legal services for Abta, he is company secretary for a tour operator specialising in the Caribbean and has vast experience in advising operators, large and small, on regulation, customer service, terms and conditions and other contractual matters.
Joanna is an experienced employment partner at business law firm Fox Williams. She has extensive experience successfully supporting clients through complex, high-value discrimination and whistleblowing claims and is an expert in the interaction between employment law and regulatory law.
Debbie Flynn is the founder of Brighter Group – A Finn Partners Company and has been a leader in travel and tourism communications for over 30 years. Current clients range from tourism boards and airlines through to tour operators and travel agents. Debbie and her senior team can advise on any internal or external communications issue ranging from social media through to media relations in the current climate and corporate brand reputation.
Barbara has been working in travel for the past 25 years and is firmly established as one of its key figures. She is the Director at C&M Travel Recruitment and holds a place on the Board of Directors at the ITT. Since 1999, Barbara has helped C&M become one of the UK’s largest specialist travel recruitment companies, offering permanent, temporary and contract roles in a wide range of sectors including retail, cruise, tour operators, OTAs, leisure and business travel.
An experienced HR & talent professional for more than 25 years, Claire has worked with a range of companies including tour operators, airlines, associations, technology providers, travel management companies, media companies and OTAs. She is also a board member on the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT).
Jonathan is co-founder at Elman Wall, travel industry specialist chartered accountants, with 200 current clients with a combined UK income of over £3.5bn, across the leisure outbound, business, inbound and group travel sectors. Jonathan is also a member of The Academy of Experts.
