Monarch has extended its flight cancellations to Sharm el Sheikh to January 6.
Customers affected by the change are entitled to move a booking to a later date or rebook to another destination on the Monarch network. Customers can also request a credit note towards future travel or a refund.
The company has put on additional flights to mainland Spain, Faro, Gibraltar and Tenerife. It is also offering a number of other winter sun alternatives including the Red Sea resorts of Hurghada and Eilat, Cyprus, the Canaries, Agadir and Madeira.
“We recognise that the uncertainty over recent weeks has been difficult for our customers and we hope that this change in policy will allow those booked to travel to make alternative arrangements as soon as possible,” the company said.
