National Holidays has appointed ex-Shearings’ trade sales manager Claire Dutton as it unveils its new agents’ programme.
Dutton has also worked at Superbreak and her arrival comes as National Holidays’ parent brand JG Travel Group puts a tours programme on sale.
JG’s sales and marketing director Danny Crowe said: “Claire’s experience and knowledge of the trade will enable us to engage much further with agents, be that for National Holidays or Just Go! Holidays. We see this as a crucial part of our sales and marketing mix and we’ve already had great feedback from some of our larger partners.”
The programme includes coastal favourites like Blackpool and city breaks to Liverpool and Chester that include a Peaky Blinders tour. In addition there are sporting breaks to the Grand National and Cheltenham Races and family favourites including Harry Potter and Legoland.
Additional highlights include Scarborough, Edinburgh, the Ayrshire coast, Alton Towers and a Mystery Tour.
Paul Mason, JG Travel Group director of product and operations said, “We have listened to customers and focused on building the really popular tours.
“We have maintained all of the coach pick up points previously operated by National Holidays and added quite a few new ones, so there is plenty of choice for the customer.”
JG acquired the National Holidays brand, set up in 1976, together with its database, but minus its liabilities, from the administrators of Specialist Leisure Group. SLG collapsed on 22 May, with its main Shearings brand and database being acquired by Leger Holidays a month later.
