Norwegian is offering discounted fares for passengers affected by the collapse of Primera Air.
TTG broke the news yesterday (October 1) that budget transatlantic carrier Primera would cease operations and enter administration on Tuesday (October 2).
Norwegian said in light of the announcement it was issuing “repatriation fares” for affected passengers.
The fares are available on the following routes: London Gatwick and New York JFK; Paris and Newark, New York JFK and Boston; and Copenhagen and Chania in Greece, Malaga, Gran Canaria and Palma De Mallorca.
Passengers can book these reduced fares, representing a discount of 50% compared to the standard net economy fare excluding taxes, for travel up to October 14, 2018 subject to availability.
Those wanting to take advantage of the fares must call Norwegian’s dedicated hotline on +47 210 16771 and provide proof of a Primera booking or ticket must be provided at the time of booking and documented evidence will be required at check in.
A British Airways spokesperson confirmed to TTG it would also be offering Primera passengers discounted fares.
"We know how frustrating it must be for Primera Air customers to lose their flights, so we are offering discounted fares to anyone still left abroad to help them get home," they said.
Virgin Atlantic has also confirmed it will offer Primera passengers stranded in London, New York, Washington DC, Boston or Toronto a route home.
