Norwegian boss Bjorn Kjos has a new right-hand man.
Chief financial officer Geir Karlson has been appointed the low-cost carrier’s deputy chief executive.
Karlson joined Norwegian as CFO last April from a background in shipping.
Over the past 12 years, he has held various CFO roles with international firms.
These include Golden Ocean Group and Sanfa Offshore.
Immediately prior to joining Norwegian, Karlsen was group CFO at London-based Navig8.
Kjos, Norwegian chief executive, said: "Geir has, during his one-year tenure at Norwegian, proven solid leadership skills and boasts trust from colleagues on all levels of the Norwegian group.
“I look forward to a continued close, constructive and strategically important cooperation.”
