P&O’s Oceana will sail to the Caribbean, Atlantic islands and Iberian peninsula this winter after the line pulled its 2019/20 Dubai and Arabian Gulf programme.
Oceana will sail 14 cruises to five regions during its new winter 2019/20 programme, calling in Spain, Portugal, Antigua, Montego Bay and various Central European capitals.
The line took the decision earlier this month to cancel Oceana’s planned cruises to Dubai and the Arabian Gulf due to the political tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
P&O said it was acting on the advice of “external authorities”, adding guest and crew safety was paramount.
Oceana’s new winter programme will run from 10 October to 9 April, book-ended by repositioning cruises to and from Malta including calls in Rome and Barcelona.
