Police have released CCTV footage of a man wanted in connection with a suspected armed robbery at a Thomson store in Birmingham.
The suspect, who was seen on camera wearing a green parka coat and brown fisherman’s hat, demanded cash from the agency’s bureau de change at the store on Alcester Road South in the Kings Heath area of the city.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the man entered the store just after 3.30pm on May 9 and slammed a carrier bag containing a heavy object on to the counter.
He then placed a note demanding cash from the till against the protective glass screen.
He is described as being white, 6ft 1ins and aged between 35 to 45 with ginger stubble.
Detective constable Phil Hinton, of West Midlands Police, said: “The cashier was understandably alarmed when confronted by the offender, who demanded the cash by holding a note to the glass screen.”
