Ritz-Carlton has announced plans to open a hotel and residences as part of a new development in the Balkan state of Montenegro.
The development of the project on the Lustica Peninsula will include a Ritz-Carlton hotel with 120 rooms and suites plus The Ritz-Carlton Residences. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2023.
The low-rise property overlooking the Adriatic will feature three restaurants, beach bar, three pools (including a saltwater lido pool), spa, fitness room, as well as clubs for children.

The development, which is being backed by Middle Eastern group Al Yasra, will also include villas, gardens, yacht club and a beach cove. The Ritz-Carlton Residences will offer 180 apartments and 48 villas, with the first phase of construction scheduled for completion in 2023.
The new resort will be around a 30-minute drive from Tivat International airport or two hours from Dubrovnik.
