Explorer of the Seas will make maiden calls to Florence, Naples and Stockholm as part of Royal Caribbean International’s 2019 ex-UK season.
The programme, which went on sale last week, sees Explorer replacing Navigator of the Seas in Southampton and also features sailings onboard Independence of the Seas following its multimillion-pound refurbishment.
Independence is set to relaunch in May with a range of new features including a virtual reality bungee experience, Sky Pad, a “bigger and better than ever before” interactive waterpark, Splashaway Bay and Escape Room, Puzzle Break.
In the Mediterranean, the ship will sail to Ibiza in August and September for the first time in four years.
Both Independence and Explorer will also call at Florence and Naples during select summer months.
Explorer will call at Stockholm for the first time, with three sailings across July and August.
The ship will also visit the Norwegian village of Olden for the first time in three years.
