Royal Caribbean has announced new features for Independence of the Seas as part of its planned multi-million-pound makeover.
The ship, which will undergo a refurbishment in April 2018, will set sail again the following month from Southampton.
New onboard features will include interactive aqua park Splashaway Bay, which set to feature bigger waterslides, fountains and pools.
The line will also be extending its speciality dining onboard with a new Asian-inspired dining experience, offering guests the chance to enjoy fresh sushi and experience hibachi chefs and teppanyaki grills.
Other highlights will include new lounges and panoramic ocean view staterooms as well as a refurbished ice rink and theatre.
The news follows the announcement of other new features such as an escape room, trampoline zone and a laser tag arena.
