Scenic has unveiled two new itineraries for its upcoming luxury “discovery yacht” Scenic Eclipse, a month ahead of its maiden voyage.
The line is offering a 15-day Taste of the Caribbean voyage from Nassau to Miami in October with “a unique focus on some lesser-visited ports” and a 13-day Colombia & Panama itinerary in the same month from Miami to Cartagena.
Calls featured on the Taste of Caribbean cruise include Long Island, Great Inagua Island, Guanaja Island and Half Moon Caye.
Later that month guests will depart Miami for Eclipse’s Colombia & Panama journey, stopping at Key West before heading to Central America.
In Belize City, guests will have the chance to explore colonial houses, seaside parks and Mayan ruins, while in Roatan Island, the focus will be on snorkelling in coral reefs and relaxing on white sand beaches.
The Colombian island of Isla de Providencia – the former base of the pirate Henry Morgan – also features as part of the itinerary, while other ports include Costa Rica’s Puerto Limon and the San Blas Islands.
Eclipse will launch on 15 August and spend six weeks sailing along the North American east coast.
The Polar Class 6 ship has 114 suites, 10 dining options, two six-passenger helicopters and one six-guest submarine capable of reaching depths of nearly 1,000ft.
Scenic and Emerald Waterways provide a complete "one-stop shop", offering two complementary brands designed to make selling river cruising plain sailing.
