The footage was captured by Elizabeth Evans, who could only sit and watch as her own pink bag is among those thrown from the aircraft. She later reported the brand new bag was damaged as a result.
Swissport has apologised and said it is “disappointed” by the footage, adding a full investigation was under way.
Manchester airport chief executive Andrew Cowan has vowed to “crack down” on such behaviour at his airport, stressing if the airport was not satisfied by Swissport’s response, it would consider what further sanctions are available as part of Swissport’s operating licence at the airport.
Swissport is Ryanair’s baggage and ground handling agency.
