Spain’s meteorological agency has issued an “extreme risk” weather warning for parts of the country.
The UK Foreign Office states regions of Valencia, Alicante, Murcia and Almeria are forecasted torrential rain over 12-13 September, with a warning that flash floods may occur and could cause disruption and delays to transport services.
Tourists visiting these areas are advised to follow the advice of local authorities.
Reports describe recent storms in the Valencia region as “the worst for over a century”.
