The Spanish Tourist Office is urging Brexiteers and remainers to “put their differences aside” and continue to book holidays to the destination.
Spain’s new UK marketing campaign, which is entitled You have Spain in Common, is encouraging British holidaymakers to “enjoy Spain in the same way”.
Isabel Oliver, the tourist office’s president, said: “The aim of this campaign is to reassure customers that Spain is open for business and to help customers with any misinformation around how to travel to Spain in the run up to Brexit.”
The campaign, using the hashtag #SpainInCommon, features a microsite and a series of short promotional videos adapted for social media channels, including You Tube, Facebook and Twitter.
The first video features a group of friends at the beach with text stating “this is how remainers spend a day at the beach”, followed by a similar scene with text saying “this is how leavers spend a day at the beach”.
FAQs are also included on the microsite to reassure British travellers planning a holiday to Spain in the run-up to Brexit.
