Teletext Holidays has launched a new chatbot service, which is available to clients through Facebook Messenger.
The online travel agency is designed to help customers to book their holidays by offering “trending” deals and “providing travel inspiration within seconds”.
Teletext said it wanted to launch the service through instant messaging as an alternative to a traditional smartphone app.
Wayne Perks, managing director of Teletext Holidays, said: “Our new travel chatbot service is an exciting part of our commitment to develop the customer experience.
“In a highly competitive market, it’s important we adapt our business to meet the evolving demands of our customer base. The future of chatbots is incredibly exciting and, as a forward-thinking company, it is important for us to embrace this technology and use it as part of our offering.”
Customers can access the Teletext’s chatbot via the Facebook Messenger phone app or through internet browsers at messenger.com
Kelly Maher, Teletext Holidays’ head of marketing, said: “Being an early adaptor of the chatbot service, Teletext Holidays is paving the way for advanced technology in travel. Teletext Holidays will be able to interact with their customers in a more consistent and organic way at just the click of a button.”
