Abta has issued “detailed advice” for members impacted by the collapse of Thomas Cook.
The association’s chief executive Mark Tanzer said he was “extremely saddened” by the failure of Cook, which brings with it the loss of thousands of staff jobs.
“For Abta members, customers and industry colleagues, this will be an extremely worrying time,” he said.
The association has created a microsite on its website for members and their customers around what to do next.
“Abta staff will be doing all we can to manage enquiries as swiftly as possible,” Tanzer added.

Meanwhile, the association has removed Cook’s retail and customer experience director, Kathryn Darbandi, from its board, according to Companies House.
