Thomas Cook’s first own-brand property in Sardinia is among the 18 new hotels being introduced across its six brands for UK holidaymakers.
The operator’s first own-brand Sardinian resort will be Sentido Orosei, which will be available from summer 2018.
Cook is also to offer its first Sunprime property in Gambia – Sunprime Tamla – for the winter 2018/19 season.
Five new Smartline resorts and one SunConnect hotel will also open across Cyprus, Crete, Portugal and Spain. While three new Sentido properties will be introduced in Spain from summer 2018, as well as the Sentido Mediterranean Village in northern Greece overlooking Mount Olympus.
Another development will see the company add another two Casa Cook hotels by summer 2019 – in Chania, Crete for summer 2018 followed by a resort in Brela, Croatia in 2019. This follows the success of the second Casa Cook in Kos, which opened this summer.
Chris Mottershead, managing director for Thomas Cook UK, said: “The 18 new hotel openings further demonstrate our commitment to provide our customers with hotels that best suit their holiday needs and lifestyle preferences.
“We continue to open up new destinations in popular areas like Sardinia and Olympus Riviera where we are seeing customer demand.”
Another new winter 2018-19 property will be Cape Verde’s Sunprime Ponta Sino – a 296-room resort on the island of Sal.
