Thomas Cook pilots call off Friday's industrial action

Friday’s strike by Thomas Cook Airlines pilots has been suspended, BALPA has announced.

Thomas Cook pilots call off Friday's industrial action

The pilots’ union said it would instead consult its members on escalating action to eight days in October. The dispute, now in its third week, centres on a pay and conditions deal.


The airline has pencilled in the next industrial action for October 6 after talks broke down and a High Court judge rejected an injunction bid by the company.


BALPA said it was still open to the option of arbitration, but that Cook “has not indicated they would be prepared to accept this”.
