Thomas Cook is to cut its number of store manger roles by 14 as part of a further reoganisation of its retail division.
Originally the company planned 48 redundancies but this has since been reduced by 34.
Cook conducted a business review earlier this year and notified staff of its plans in October.
“The situation remains fluid, and meetings with employees are still taking place,” the company said in a statement.
It added: “We remain committed to doing everything that we can to support those individuals concerned further to this proposal.”
As part of the changes, the size of the regional business manager field team will be increased from 21 to 24 and the position is being renamed regional manager.
Cook will also look to expand its much talked about cluster structure, which could see some of the current standalone stores added to the network.
