Features editor Abigail Healy was awarded with the best trade education feature at last night’s Clia Cruise Media Awards.
TTG contributing writer Charlotte Cullinan was also highly commended in the category for her piece “Take to the Water”.
Abigail won the accolade for her feature “Waterway to stay in shape”, which focused on the fitness facilities onboard a Danube sailing with Avalon Waterways.
TTG contributor John Honeywell, more familiarly know as Captain Greybeard, was also honoured for his contribution to cruise.
A total of 14 winners were named at the annual awards, which were held in London last night.
A number of other TTG journalists and contributors were also shortlisted, including editor Sophie Griffiths and former features editor Katherine Lawrey.
The ceremony was presented by blogger and digital media consultant Jonny Ward.
Andy Harmer, senior vice president membership and director, Clia UK and Ireland commented: “The extraordinary number of high quality entries across a broad spectrum of print and online outlets reflects the continued growing interest in cruise. The media remains integral to our mission to promote the diversity of cruise holidays and in particular raising its profile to attract those that have perhaps not considered a cruise holiday before.”
