What TTG will do to raise funds:

  • Individual and team challenges throughout the year
  • Donate £5 for every complimentary hotel stay
  • Support the charity at the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies and TTG Travel Awards 2017

It is a charity close to the hearts of the TTG Media team – Louis, the son of Chris Gascoine, sales manager at sister title Routes News, was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 14 months and four years on he is still being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our new partnership was unveiled at the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies ceremony on Monday in Birmingham, where we raised £4,041.

TTG Media managing director Daniel Pearce said: “We are lucky enough to work in an incredible industry and enjoy trips across the world. TTG Media decided it was time to give something back.

“Children with Cancer UK is a brilliant cause that does vital work in helping to fight this devastating illness. We’re looking forward to meeting the ambitious target we’ve set ourselves to help it continue with its necessary and tremendous work.”

Francesca Borrelli, corporate account manager at Children with Cancer UK, said: “We are delighted that TTG Media has chosen Children with Cancer UK as its charity partner for 2017.

With your help, we can continue our vital research into the causes, prevention and treatments of childhood cancer so that one day no child will suffer.”

Jayne Falconer, major relationships manager at Children with Cancer UK, added: “As we receive no government funding and rely entirely on voluntary donations, our work would not be possible without support such as TTG Media’s.

“On behalf of us all at the charity and – more importantly, the children who will benefit – thank you so
very much.”

Children with Cancer

What Children with Cancer UK does:

  • Funds essential research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer
  • Funds welfare projects to provide better care for children with cancer and their families
  • Raises awareness to protect children and improve young cancer patients’ lives

Children with Cancer UK – the facts:

  • 500 children in the UK die from cancer every year…
  • … But due to the work of Children with Cancer UK and other charities, survival rates have more than doubled in the past 40 years
  • Since the introduction of combination chemotherapy in the 1970s, survival rates for testicular cancer have soared to over 95%
  • Today 7 out of 10 children survive childhood cancers compared with just 3 out of 10 in the 1960s.
