Two new TTG Scholarships to Leeds Beckett University have been launched following the success of the first scholarships created to mark TTG’s 60th anniversary in 2013.
An all-tuition fees paid MSc Travel Business Leadership course and a BSc (Hons) Travel Business Management course, each including content on travel business, hospitality and responsible tourism management, are available under the scheme.
The new programme builds on the success of the first scholarships, which went to Alex White, vice-president of sales at Carnival UK, and Donna Allcock, now holidays channel manager at Travelsupermarket.com following fierce competition from across the travel industry for
the places.
Daniel Pearce, managing director of TTG Media, said: “As the oldest publication of its kind in the world, TTG has long been associated with developing young people throughout the UK travel industry and beyond.
“The new scholarships build on the success of the TTG 30 Under 30 programme, and the recently launched TTG Mentoring Scheme. However these scholarships are open to anyone at any age from across the industry, and we very much look forward to seeing the applications.”
The scholarships will cover the tuition fee for each degree course, which are completed via distance learning, and applicants must either be a college/school leaver or a travel professional.
