TTG Media has been shortlisted for two out of the three awards at this year’s AWTE Chair Awards.
TTG Media as a business has been shortlisted for the AWTE Company Award 2016.
Companies shortlisted for this accolade have to meet criteria such as showing that they “support and are committed to equality on their board and within their management structure”.
They must also “allow women to reach their potential within the company and impact the business, or the industry with the company’s support”.
Meanwhile news editor Sophie Griffiths has been shortlisted for the AWTE Business Impact Award, for her work with TTG LGBT.
To make the shortlist for this award, nominees are asked to have “shown great innovation and made an impact in her role – either as an employee or her own business – and as a result positively impacted her business/and or the industry”.
The awards will take place on September 13 at the Cavendish Hotel in London.
The night will also see the first AWTE Benevolent Enterprise Gift presented. The gift was launched in the summer, and will present an AWTE member with £1,000 to be used for professional development, marketing, PR, social media skills, purchasing office equipment or to finance other projects.
The AWTE will also add another five women to its AWTE Influential Women in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Honours list, which began at its 60th Anniversary celebrations two years ago. Last year TTG Media editor Pippa Jacks was inducted into the list.
