Malaga and Tenerife have been named as homeports for Tui Discovery 2 during its sailings next summer.
The vessel will sail from the Spanish destinations upon joining the Thomson Cruises fleet in 2017 with holidays onboard going on sale from July 21 this year.
Tui Discovery 2 is due to begin operating out of Malaga in May visiting Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Porto, Lisbon and Marseille.
It will then reposition to Tenerife in September and carry out visits around the Canaries, Morocco and Madeira.
Thomson Cruises managing director Helen Caron said: “I’m delighted to unveil Malaga and Tenerife as homeports for our newest ship Tui
Discovery 2. Both ports offer the perfect base for families, friends and couples, looking to explore stunning destinations.
“At Thomson Cruises we are committed to offering customers a holiday that suits their every need and are delivering this through a great mix of destinations, flexible durations, cruise and stay options as well as fantastic onboard facilities. The introduction of Tui Discovery 2 to our fleet in 2017 continues our modernisation and transformation strategy.”
According to Thomson Cruises, the vessel will be identical to its sister ship, Tui Discovery, which launched earlier this month, and will boast a 1,832 double-occupancy passenger capacity across 915 cabins.
Thomson Cruises acquired the vessel from Royal Caribbean International, which had previously sailed as the line’s Legend of the Seas.
