Tui’s global-reaching bedbank has been renamed following the pre-Christmas merger of Tui Travel and Tui AG.
Following the deal, Tui Travel Accommodation & Destinations will now be known as the Hotelbeds Group.
The newly formed group includes Tui’s main bedbank Hotelbeds and is in recognition of the brand’s commercial significance. Other brands include Destination Services, Laterooms.com and Intercruises.
Tui’s recent results show that the group saw a 10% increase in sales for the year ending September 30 with a Total Transaction value (TTV) of €4,048 million. A 13% increase in Ebitda was recorded over the same period to €132 million.
Following the creation of the Tui Group there are now mainstream and non-mainstream sectors with Hotelbeds Group being one of the latter.
