Tui says it will become the first major tour operator to launch holidays to the Kvarner Bay islands of Rab and Krk next summer.
The operator will introduce exclusive Tui Airways flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Rijeka on Croatia’s Adriatic coast next May.
Kvarner Bay is the latest addition to Tui’s Croatia offering.
According to the operator, it has experienced a 38% increase in sales for next year on 2017 bookings.
It will also launch a new adults only Tui Sensimar resort on Rab, complete with two premium “platinum” hotels.
The Croatian tourist board, meanwhile, says it has seen an almost 8% increase in UK travellers to Croatia this year.
Tui says unique searches on its systems for Croatia have gone up almost 30% compared with 2017.
From May 23 next year, Tui Airways will operate two direct weekly flights to the port city of Rijeka from Gatwick and Manchester.
Mark Hall, Tui UK director of product, said: “We know Croatia is proving extremely popular with UK customers so we are positive this new addition to our portfolio will be a success.
“Adding a Tui-branded hotel to one of the islands shows we continue offering customers even more choice and flexibility when it comes to adults only holidays.”
Kvarner Bay is set against a mountain backdrop, and is surrounded by busy towns and fishing villages. It is a popular destination for cycling, swimming and scuba diving.
Krk offers castles, cathedrals and museums as well as city beaches, swimming bats, lively clubs and bars. Tui will offer three hotels on the island.
Holidays include a ferry service to the nearby island of Rab in the price, which boasts sandy beaches and clear blue seas.
The cobbled old town is festooned with medieval relics and reminders of its Roman heritage.
The island will host the Tui Sensimar Carolina resort, further expanding its portfolio of own-brand hotels.
