Two brands owned by All Leisure Group are now listed under the G Adventures Atol and are being operated by the escorted touring company, TTG has learned.
According to the CAA website, Travelsphere and Just You are now covered by an Atol that is registered to G Adventures’ London office.
The websites of both Just You and Travelsphere now state holidays booked by either company “will be operated by G Adventures (UK).”
The news follows the announcement at the end of last week that All Leisure Group had cancelled Voyages of Discovery and Swan Hellenic new year cruises at short notice.
It has also emerged that All Leisure Group sold off its Hebridean Island Cruises brand “three to four weeks ago”.
The cruise line was sold to a group of around 20 travel industry figures.
Hebridean’s cruise ship, Hebridean Princess, was sold to some of the new shareholders in December 2015.
The three new Hebridean Island Cruises directors are current Hebridean managing director Ken Charleson, who has maintained his title, Unijet co-founder Nigel Jenkins and All Leisure Group chairman Roger Allard, who will run the new company as chairman.
Industry accountant Chris Photi has been made company secretary.
He told TTG that “quite a few people from the industry are named share holders”, listing Travelopia chief executive Will Waggott, Tui specialist division managing director John Wimbleton and Justin Fleming, former Abta president.
“It will really be business as usual, and there won’t be any redundancies. We have taken on all the staff and debts of the company,” said Photi, who was one of the people involved in buying Hebridean Princess a year ago.
“It seemed like a nice follow-up to buy the business."
Photi said all forward bookings for Hebridean would be honoured and clients looked after.
A message at the top of the Voyages of Discovery website reads: “Due to operational reasons, Voyages of Discovery regrets to inform its passengers that the Riches of the Orient cruise due to start in Malaysia on January 4 2017 has been cancelled.
“Voyages of Discovery apologises to all of its passengers who were due to sail on this cruise.”
On the Swan Hellenic website, a message reads: “Due to operational reasons, Swan Hellenic regrets to inform its passengers that the Gateway to Atlantic Isles cruise due to start in Marseille, France on January 3 2017 has been cancelled.
“Swan Hellenic apologises to all of its passengers who were due to sail on this cruise.”
All Leisure Group and G Adventures could not be contacted for comment.
This comes just five months after All Leisure Holidays announced it had disposed of its specialist operator Discover Egypt, with the operator’s management team completing a mangement buy-out.
Discover Egypt was renamed Platinum Holidays Ltd, with its three directors named as All Leisure Group’s chairman and director Roger Allard; All Leisure Holidays commercial director Philip Breckner and All Leisure Holidays director David Wiles.
