Cruise and Maritime Voyages has announced a vegan cruise around the Norwegian Fjords.
The sailing from Tilbury will take place onboard Columbus on September 25, with the line promising guest speakers offering “expert knowledge on diverse vegan subjects”, as well as lifestyle classes and a wellness programme including yoga and pilates.
It will also feature a 100% vegan menu, with buffets as well as “multi-course dinners”.
Speakers will include Dr Michael Greger, a physician and expert on nutrition and author of the New York Times Best Seller, How Not to Die and Melanie Joy, a psychologist and author of Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows.
There will also be Julieanna Hever, a Plant-Based dietician and Wendy Turner Webster, TV presenter and expert on jewellery and crafts made from recycled materials, CMV said.
It added that daytime activities onboard the voyage could include vegan toothpaste making and vegan cheese making.
CMV said it was also able to accommodate those following gluten free, raw food and macrobiotic diets.
Although Columbus typically operates as an adult-only ship, the line said children were welcome onboard this sailing.
