Virgin Atlantic is launching a new weekly service to Cuba as well as strengthening its transatlantic programme in 2017.
The weekly service from Gatwick to Varadero, a beach resort town on the north coast, launches on Sunday, April 2, and comes as the airline strengthens its transatlantic service.
Elsewhere, additional services from to the daily flight from the airport to Las Vegas on Monday and Wednesday will bring the total to nine in April and May.
Virgin’s daily service from Gatwick to Barbados will also be strengthened with an additional flight on Wednesday and Sunday in April.
Manchester is also growing as a hub for the airline with two flights a week to Barbados set to be operated on an Airbus A330-300, increasing to three per week during the school holiday period from late July to the end of August.
Increase services from Manchester to Orlando will see the addition of one extra weekly flight in late July until the end of August, taking it to 14 services per week in this period.
Meanwhile, Belfast will see a doubling of the service from Belfast to Orlando to operate two flights per week for a four-week period during June and July.
Virgin flights from Glasgow to Orlando will double to four flights per week for a four-week period during June and July.

“For customers outside of the London area, more seasonal services from Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester too will make it even more convenient for them to visit the Caribbean and Florida.”
